Recycling at it's best, engineer Martin Bacon and a team from Teesdale Conservation in Durham, England, have created a car which runs on coffee grounds.

The car broke a Guinness World Record "for vehicles run on gas from organic waste," earlier this year according to the BBC. The modified Rover SD1 achieved speeds of 77.5 miles per hour with an average speed of 66.5 mph after a number of modifications were made.

The previous speed record in this category was 47.7 mph, set by a Beaver XR7 in 2010 that was fueled by a wood burner.
